WordPress integration
The AI blog writer for WordPress.
QuillGrid researches, writes and illustrates posts about your business, then publishes them to your WordPress site as native posts. Your theme shows them like any post you wrote yourself.
What arrives
Real WordPress posts, fully filled in.
Every post is created through the WordPress REST API, so it's an ordinary post in your dashboard that you can edit, schedule or delete.
Title, slug and full post
The headline, a clean URL slug, the formatted body and an excerpt for your blog index.
Featured image
An original cover, never a stock photo, uploaded to your Media Library with alt text.
Categories and tags
Up to 5 categories and 10 tags, matched to the ones you already use and created if they're new. You can set a default category.
Draft or published
Choose per site: posts arrive as drafts for you to publish, or go live as soon as they pass the checks.
SEO title and description
Sent to Yoast and Rank Math as well. They're saved when your SEO plugin accepts those fields over the REST API.
Never posted twice
Once a post reaches WordPress, QuillGrid won't send it again, so a retry can't create a duplicate.
Connect
Connected in three steps.
There's no plugin to install. QuillGrid uses the REST API and Application Passwords built into WordPress 5.6 and later.
- In WordPress, open Users → Profile → Application Passwords and create one named QuillGrid.
- Paste your site URL, your username and that password into QuillGrid. It checks the connection and shows which user it signed in as.
- Choose a default category, drafts or live posts, and a schedule. The first post goes to your review queue.
Use a WordPress user with the Editor role, because QuillGrid creates categories and tags that don't exist yet. You can revoke the Application Password from that user's profile at any time, and QuillGrid stores it encrypted with AES-256-GCM.
Before and after
Checked before it publishes. Confirmed after.
The same publish checks run on every post, whichever platform it goes to. See all 17 checks
- 01
17 checks first
Title, slug, date, length, structure, placeholder text, claims about your company and 7 checks on the cover. A post that fails is held with the reason, and nothing reaches your site.
- 02
Covers fixed automatically
If only the cover fails, QuillGrid makes a new one and checks it again before anything is sent.
- 03
Published to WordPress
The post, its featured image, categories and tags go through the REST API, as a draft or live.
- 04
Confirmed live
Once a post is live, QuillGrid loads its public URL and its cover until both are served, and flags the post if it hasn't appeared within 45 minutes.
Do I need to install a WordPress plugin?
No. QuillGrid uses the REST API and Application Passwords built into WordPress. Your site needs WordPress 5.6 or later on HTTPS, with the REST API reachable at /wp-json/, which works with any permalink setting except Plain.
Will the posts match my theme?
Yes. They're ordinary WordPress posts, so your theme lays them out like every other post on your blog.
Can I approve posts before they go live?
Yes. Send posts as drafts and publish them from WordPress, or keep the review queue on in QuillGrid and approve each one with a click.
Does it fill in Yoast or Rank Math?
It sends the SEO title and meta description to both. They're saved when the plugin accepts those fields over the REST API. If it doesn't, the post still publishes normally.
Can I connect more than one WordPress site?
Yes. Each site gets its own connection, content profile and schedule.
